Oct & Nov 2025 - Perseverance Opens the Doors

Oct & Nov 2025 - Perseverance Opens the Doors

After months of races and non-stop action, I finally hit the brakes for a much-needed, three-week break. And guess what? The timing couldn't have been better—it was a joint birthday celebration for me and my dad!

There’s nothing like the feeling of coming home. Seriously, the sheer joy of spending quality time with family, catching up with friends, and just being home again was incredible. (And yes, I finally got to sleep in my own ridiculously comfortable bed—major win, lol!)

But don't think "break" meant "couch potato." Oh no. I kept the training ongoing. My training regime was full-on, stacking up epic miles on the bicycle and crushing sessions at the gym.

I even squeezed in a thrilling track day at Homestead on the 600 with Florida Track days, just to keep that racing edge razor-sharp!

My birthday dinner was straight out celebration!

It was incredible to have my girlfriend, Jaymee, right there with me. But the real shocker? My big bro Sean and his girlfriend Gabby showed up for a total surprise ambush! Add to that my awesome aunt and uncle, Rod and Cat, and both of my incredible grandmas—it was a table full of pure love and support! I’m soaking up every second of this last year of freedom before the clock ticks down and I officially turn into a full-blown "adult."

But all good things must end, and before I knew it, I was trading my comfy bed back in for an airport seat. It was time to fly back to Spain for the final race weekend of the entire season! Knowing how crucial this last round was, I didn't waste a second. I flew in a full week early to dial everything in for Jerez.

My prep schedule was intense, maximizing every available moment:

  • Pedal to the Metal: I squeezed in even more intense days on the bicycle, building up that endurance.
  • Kayo Training: I logged a handful of essential sessions on the Kayo mini-bike, focusing on precision and keeping my reactions lightning-fast.

All that work paid off. By the time the weekend approached, I felt super good on the race bike—dialed in, confident, and ready to attack. I was genuinely buzzing for this race. Why? Because Jerez is one of my absolute favorite tracks on the circuit! The circuit's flow, the legendary corners, the energy—it's phenomenal.

Fun fact: Despite how much I love it, I had only ever been there twice prior to this final race weekend. That meant I was still hungry to learn, push the limits, and extract every bit of speed this iconic Spanish asphalt had to offer! This was it—the season finale. Time to leave absolutely nothing on the table!

The final countdown was on! The team and I kicked off the week with a brisk, 12-hour drive down to Jerez. Once we hit the paddock, it was straight to business: a deep track walk with the crew, followed by intense data studying—preparing the blueprint for the weekend's attack. Then, it was time for rest and to gear up for the first official sessions.

Thursday: Wet and Wild Testing

Session Conditions Key Outcome
FP1 (Non-Timed) Mixed (Mostly Wet) Acclimatized to the track; limited laps until conditions improved.
FP2 (Non-Timed) Drying/Dry Super strong pace! We were close, but identified a small gap to the top level.

Thursday's morning session was a bit tricky—the track was still damp—so we took it easy. But FP2 was where we shined! We instantly found good pace, but the data showed where I needed to sharpen my inputs and where the bike setup needed tweaking. Jerez is a beast; it demands a technical setup for some sections, yet needs to flow for the fast sweepers. I spent the evening glued to the screen, analyzing video and data to pinpoint my physical riding mistakes. There was definitely more speed to unlock from the package going into Friday!

Friday: The 2.2 Second Breakthrough

We woke up to the best news: a fully dry Friday! Time to put the previous night's analysis to the test where the times truly count.

  • FP1 (Timed): Decent, but not quite there. Both my riding and the bike setup were still a step shy.

    • The Trust Factor: Usually, I'd be panicking, but the absolute trust I have in my team kept me calm. They clearly outlined my required improvements and the specific changes they were making to the bike.

  • FP2 (Timed): Unbelievable!

    • The feeling was instantly there, and I was super comfortable.

    • The Result: We dropped a massive 2.2 seconds in that single session and finished the day P6 overall!

This massive improvement gave me a rush of confidence heading into Saturday's crucial qualifying.

Saturday Q: The Slick Tire Gamble Pays Off!

Saturday morning had that electric feeling, but stepping outside revealed a familiar sight: damp track conditions. Uh-oh. Given the low grip we saw on Thursday, this was concerning. But with this being the final qualifier of the season, there was only one option: 100% commitment, no excuses.

I headed out on wets, but after just two laps, I pulled straight back in. The track was transitioning! The plan: wait for the final 10 minutes, bolt on a set of brand new slicks, and execute a full-commitment time attack.

  1. Out Lap: Immediate sign of better grip than the wets!

  2. Lap 1 (Flying Lap): Full head-down attack! Despite damp patches, I went from P17 to an initial P5.

  3. Final Lap: I threw everything at it and clawed my way up to P3! A tiny mistake cost me a fraction of a second, but the result was incredible: P4 on the grid for Race One!

It was almost my first-ever front-row start in the ESBK Championship, pipped at the very last second, but an astonishing result given our struggles earlier in the week.

Grid Talk: I was looking at a front row surrounded by three World Championship riders—guys who regularly fight for wins and podiums—with two more right behind me on the second row. This P4 proved it: I belong here. I am just as fast as they are!

Race One: Fighting for the Crown!

The nerves were surprisingly minimal—I knew I earned my place. The start was intense, full of cut throat moves, but I held my own. After just three laps, I was locked deep in the front group, battling for P4 and P5! I was literally fighting the season's champion—this was absolutely unbelievable and the kind of racing I live for.

We were passing each other left and right; if you weren't making a move, you were being passed! I had a strong, trusting connection with the bike and pushed it to its absolute limit.

  • Result: I finished P2 in the Kawasaki Trophy Cup and an incredible P6 overall!

  • Near Miss: I was only half a second away from the victory! A half second split the top 7 riders!

The feeling was truly unexplainable. This was my best-ever result, a third podium in just my fourth weekend with the team. All the hard work, the data analysis, the bike setup changes—it all came together!

Race Two Chaos: The Tire That Died!

Sunday was all killer, with no morning warm-up session, we went straight into Race Two! I was lining up on the grid from a very strong P4—another excellent starting position that proved Friday's gains were real.

The Early Battle

Just like Saturday, I immediately launched into the fight, embedding myself right in that top group for the first few laps. The pace was ferocious, and I was feeling confident matching it. But then, disaster started brewing.

Around Lap 4 and 5, I felt a significant and alarming drop-off in the front tire's performance. The bike became heavy, struggling to turn, and the front end started folding on me under braking and turn-in.

The Elbow Save of the Season

The real moment of panic hit in Turn 11—one of the fastest corners on the track. As I tipped the bike in, the front completely closed on me. It was a terrifying, heart-stopping moment where I thought I was going down. Instinct took over, and I managed to save it on my elbow, wrestling the bike back upright. I didn't fully understand it in the moment. I thought maybe I had simply used up the tire too aggressively fighting in the opening laps. But I couldn't quit. I put my head down and just focused on bringing the bike home to the checkered flag.

The Shocking Discovery

I crossed the line in 8th place overall (P4 in the Kawasaki Cup)—not an ideal result, especially after the potential we showed on Saturday.

However, the reason for the struggle became immediately, terrifyingly clear the second I rolled into the pits and got off the bike:

I looked down at my front tire, and it was absolutely shredded to pieces. There was practically nothing left!

The team was completely stunned that I had been able to maintain the pace I did and bring the bike back at all. For some inexplicable reason, the tire had literally disintegrated during the race. It was hugely frustrating, knowing we had the pace and potential for another top-five finish, but that's the cruel, unpredictable reality of racing sometimes. Later after discussions with the Pirelli vendor onsite, they realized the tire was from 2023 and they couldn't explain how it got on their truck and with my luck on my race bike. Another uncontrollable situation.

Signing Off on an Incredible Season

Despite the deflating end to Race Two, the weekend, and indeed the entire final stint with the team, was absolutely unbelievable. That P2 on Saturday proved what we are capable of when everything is aligned. I genuinely cannot thank the team enough for the dedication, belief, and hard work they poured into every single weekend. We achieved massive results in a very short time!

This team isn't just a collection of talented individuals; they truly made me feel like part of the family. It's been a long time since I've felt this genuinely at home in a racing paddock, and that level of comfort and support translates directly into results on the track.

I want to extend my deepest appreciation for all their hard work, countless hours, and unwavering dedication to getting us fighting at the sharp end of the grid.

A massive, heartfelt shoutout goes to:

  • Paula: My amazing mechanic, who ensured the bike was perfect every time I rolled out.

  • Arnau, Alex, and Xavi Pons: The incredible team owners, whose vision and commitment made this whole journey possible.

It has been an absolute blast finishing out my 2025 season with you guys. The progress we made in just a few short weekends speaks volumes about what we can achieve together.

Now, with this unbelievable season finale behind us, the focus is already shifting.

With the checkered flag officially waved on the 2025 season, I hopped on a long-haul flight right after the Jerez debrief and headed back home for the holidays!

Honestly, I don't think I could have finished the season any better. To achieve my best results yet, battling against seasoned World Championship riders at a circuit as prestigious and well-known as Jerez, is an incredible accomplishment I’m truly proud of.

Now, the mandate is simple: recharge, refocus, and rebuild.

Family Time and Special Celebrations ❤️

It’s time to enjoy the simple things: relax with my family and friends... and of course, keep that training intensity ticking over in preparation for what I know will be a massive 2026 season!

The first order of business after landing was a beautiful weekend spent celebrating with my girlfriend for our anniversary. It was super nice, relaxing, and exactly the kind of downtime I needed to decompress after the intense finale.

Then came the big family gathering: Thanksgiving! It was great to spend time with my little brother, Grayson, and the whole family, appreciating all the support they give me throughout the year. Nothing beats that holiday atmosphere and the reminder of what you’re fighting for out on the track. Plus getting to watch Grayson absolutely man handle during his holiday tournament.

Bonus Race Weekend: Closing Out 2025 with the Pan-Am Superbikes!

Just when I thought the racing was done for the year, I got an amazing opportunity to squeeze in one last high-speed hurrah!

I was invited to take part in the final race weekend of the Pan-American Superbike Championship for 2025! This was pure, high-octane fun to cap off the year.

A massive thank you goes out to Erwin from Weatherford Racing Team for generously lending me his incredible CBR 1000 RR to race in the premier Superbike 1000 class. Seriously, that bike was an absolute beast!

Homestead Heat: Two Bikes, New Records!

Returning to Homestead Miami Speedway was fantastic, and I got to ride two totally different machines:

  1. The 600: I spent some quality time back on my familiar 600cc machine, and the results were instant—I set some blistering new Personal Bests (PBs)! The focus on speed and finesse I gained in Europe clearly translated back home.

  1. The 1000: The Superbike 1000 was an absolute blast! The sheer power of that CBR is addictive, and it handled super, super well around the track. It was a phenomenal experience to push a liter-bike to the limits.

This bonus weekend was the perfect, most fun and relaxing way to officially end my 2025 racing season. It didn't feel like pressure; it felt like celebrating everything we achieved.

The Best Pit Crew

It was also awesome to share the paddock with some great company:

  • My amazing mechanic and good friend, Tim, was there to keep everything running perfectly.

  • My dad doesn't get to pit crew much anymore, so whenever he gets the chance to he is all in providing feedback and getting his hands dirty.

WORLD STAGE ALERT! My 2026 Announcement!

Okay, guys, the time for speculation is over. After months of hard work, incredible results, and sealing the deal with the best team, the news is finally out! You all saw what we accomplished together at the end of the 2025 season... now, we're taking that momentum and going ALL THE WAY TO THE TOP!

I AM GOING WORLD SUPERBIKE RACING IN 2026!

That’s right—I will be competing in the prestigious World Sportbike (WorldSPB) Championship for the entire 2026 season!

I am joining forces with the incredible Pons Italika Racing team and riding the mighty Kawasaki ZX-6R 636!

This is not just a step up; this is the realization of a lifelong dream. Making it to the world stage is a massive, monumental accomplishment, and I honestly could not be more thrilled to start this new chapter in my career. From the moment I hopped on this Chinese gas powered machine my dad brought back to life back in 2012...the world stage was the GOAL!

The Motivation Meter is REDLINING!

The level of competition in WorldSPB is insane, and I am beyond ready for the challenge. This announcement has kicked my motivation into absolute overdrive!

You think I trained hard before? Just wait. Every single session, every mile on the bike, every hour in the gym is now laser-focused. My goal is simple: to be the best possible version of myself when we line up on that grid for the first race of 2026.

We're going to be battling at legendary circuits all over the globe, representing the USA, and fighting in one of the toughest lightweight classes on the planet! Who knew this young kid learning how to ride properly at New Jersey & South Florida MiniGP would be here just 12yrs later...

And with that massive announcement, we close the book on the incredible, roller-coaster ride that was the 2025 racing season!

I want to take a moment to say thank you all so much for the unwavering support this year. Whether you were reading every blog, cheering from the stands, or sending positive vibes across the globe—it meant the world to me. I truly hope you enjoyed following along with all the ups, downs, battles, and breakthroughs we shared throughout the season.

It’s true, 2025 was a definite mix of challenging lows and monumental highs, but we ended on such a powerful note at Jerez! I feel more confident than ever that I was prepared for everything that was thrown my way.

The Future is Now!

My excitement to start 2026 and dive headfirst into this new endeavor on the world stage is simply indescribable. World Sportbike is the next level, and while I know it will be a crucial year requiring maximum effort and focus, I am more than ready to attack it head-on!

Thank you again to every single person who made this year possible—the team, the sponsors, my family, my friends, and of course, all of you, the fans.

I wish you all a very Merry Christmas filled with joy and laughter shared with your friends and loved ones, and a Happy New Year!

See you on the other side... on the World Championship grid!

Stay safe and Hope to See you at the Track Soon!
